NSS volunteers Create awareness programme under the Swachh Bharat Mission was held in the community hall at Polivakkam Village to create awareness among the villagers about sanitation and maintaining a hygienic environment. During the programme, locals were educated on the significance of cleanliness, waste disposal and segregation, and solid waste management among other local people create awareness.

PULSE POLIO IMMUNIZATION PROGRAMME

Venue : Thirunintravur Railway Station.

NSS Cell, Jaya Sakthi Engineering College conducted Pulse Polio Immunization Programme at the Thirunintravur Railway Station. Due to this Polio Immunization Programme more than 1000 peoples got benefited.

During the programme, locals were educated on the significance of cleanliness, waste disposal and segregation, and solid waste management, among other topics.

TREE PLANTATION PROGRAMME

NSS special camp we started planting saplings in the garden of our college campus and after that, we planted saplings in the government schools and adopted villages. Students also made some posters and banners on the importance of tree plantations. We passed banners and posters in the area around our college. So that people read these and know the importance of tree plantation. After our goal of planting 500 trees is achieved.

YOGA CAMP

Name of Extension Program : yoga awareness programme for students and staff

The present situation is happy and Mental health, increasing stress of every person day by day, busyness in life, big aspirations and expectations are all neglecting our physical and mental health day by day so it is difficult to find a better way than yoga if we want to get rid of various ailments. Every year in the colleges, yoga programs are organized for the students as well as for the teachers and teaching staff. Information is provided by the program. Lessons on how we can keep our health healthy through yoga pranayama are also given in these programs. The main objective of the NSS is that every person should be physically fit and mentally strong so that they can carry out their daily activities and lead a happy life.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON HIV/ AIDS

NSS Cell, Jaya Sakthi Engineering College conducted Awareness Programme on HIV/ AIDS. Due to this Awareness Programme more than 1000 peoples got benefited.

EYE CAMP

Name of Extension Program : Eye Camp

Venue : Polivakkam

A special camp was held by NSS adopted polivakkam village in this camp vasan eye care team conducted the event. We are explained the importance of keeping bodies health by having regular checkup with regards to blood pressure, eye blood sugar, vasan eye care conducted a free medical camp for adopted village peoples and school childrens.

DIABETIC AWARNESS POGRAMME

A Free Diabetic Camp conducted NSS team in adopted polivakkam villages can be considered as a life-saving program that aims to provide free medical to poor communities living in rural areas by a mobile team with varieties of medical specialized services.
